The Sun 360
Stereo-4/SDO-2/SOHO-25 Workshop
July 25 - 29, 2011, Christian-Albrechts-Universität, Kiel, Germany
Submission deadline to the topical issue Sun-360 has been extended to November 4, 2011
In 2011 the two STEREO spacecraft will be separated by more than 90 degrees from the Earth. With the help of observations from SDO and SOHO, we will have a 360-degree view of the Sun for the first time. The objective of the workshop is to discuss a range of scientific topics, which are key to our current understanding of the global structure of the Sun and inner heliosphere.
The highly successful STEREO and SOHO Workshops are being combined with the upcoming international SDO Workshops into a STEREO/SDO/SOHO Workshop, to be hosted by the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel Germany, in the week of July 25, 2011. This combined workshop will focus on the continuing scientific achievements of these missions in the broader context of understanding the Sun 360 and its structuring of the inner heliosphere.
